Letter from Pauline Carroll Lawrence - my first cousin, daughter of Joseph Dean Carroll, my father's brother.

Dear Jimmy -

I have had a surprise of some relatives I didn't know about.  You may already know about this, I just thought I would send you a copy of the info I received in the mail this past Saturday.  A notice appeared in the Drumright or Shamrock paper and my sister Alma told me about it, said she had been carrying the clipping in her purse for a month or two.

I got the address and wrote her a note (Barbara Holland).  She was looking for a John Carroll who had lived in Shamrock in the early 1900's.  I mentioned in my note my Uncle John had a stiff leg... anyway this was her response.  I talked to Jay Carroll - Oklahoma City this a.m.  He didn't know where she was, they have the same grandpa.

I guess you have heard from Phyllis that the Carroll Reunion will be June 3, that is the only time we could get that Community Center.  I hope you and your family can be there.

I saw your Dad at Uncle Lee's funeral as well as Phyllis and Jerry.  They are sweet kids.  Just wanted to share this in case it is of interest to you.

The lady who is doing research on the Carroll's that had the notice from the paper is Barbara Holland, Maysville, Okla.

(Note: Pauline passed away about 2006.)
