Eva Ballew was born on 11 Mar 1894 in Koshkonong, Oregon Co., MO. She died 7 Jul 1984 in Siloam Springs, AR. She was married to Everette Houston Lingle on 19 Oct 1913 in Koshkonong.

To this couple were born six children: Ella, Willie, Lucille, Everett Jr. (Buck), and Jim. The family lived in the Siloam Springs area, including Chewey and Watts, Oklahoma.

Obituary:

"Eva Lingle, 90 year old resident of Watts, Oklahoma, died Saturday, July 7, 1984 at her home in Watts. Born March 11, 1894 in Koshkonong, Missouri, she was the daughter of W.A. and Melvina Tippey Ballew. She had been a resident of Adair County the past 56 years."

"Mrs. Lingle was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Watts. Her husband, Everette H. Lingle, preceded her in death in 1966."

"Survivors include one son, Jim of Watts; four daughters, Ella Comingdeer of Tahlequah, Willie Erickson of West Siloam Springs, Lucille Cramer and Nina Quick, both of Watts; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren."

"One son, Everett Lingle, Jr., preceded her in death in 1977. "

"Funeral services were Tuesday, July 10, 1984 at 2 p.m. at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Watts with Rev. Kermit Mullin and Rev. Ted Mullin officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home."

The following instructions for her funeral illustrate the character of Eva Ballew, loving mother and grandmother.

Eva Lingle's "request in case of an occasion where there would be a need for a funeral ceremony for herself".

The ceremony to be conducted at her home church, Watts Pentecostal Holiness Church. With Rev. Kermit Mullin preaching the sermon. (In case there is some hindrance where he can not be present then the pastor, Rev. Gene Jones will be ministering.) Bro. Jones is to assist Bro. Mullin.

She, Sis. Lingle, desires that the church group sing the following songs:

1. I Want to Stroll Over Heaven with You &
2. What a Day that Will Be.

This verse is to be read aloud:

"Weep not children for me for I will be waiting in
Glory for thee."
